Apple Acquires AI Startup Company Perceptio

Tech giant Apple has acquired the artificial intelligence startup company Perceptio, which specialises in smartphone calculations without collecting personal data in the cloud. This is the second startup company that Apple has acquired this month, with the former being UK-based VocalIQ. Peceptio is not that well-known in the tech industry, and it doesn’t even have much of a presence in social media sites, nor does it even have its own website. The only known information about the startup is its founders, Nicolas Pinto and Zak Stone. According to their personal Twitter and LinkedIn profiles, Pinto is a researcher and computer science professor at MIT, while Stone has a PhD in in computer vision from Harvard.
