Apple Car: Nvidia employee hired for AI expertise

Apple has hired a former Nvidia employee linked to autonomous vehicles, reigniting speculation about the company’s efforts in the car space. The new hire is Jonathan Cohen, the director of deep learning for chip-maker Nvidia, as reported by re/code. Cohen, who formally announced the move on LinkedIn, now states “I build software” for Apple on his profile. Deep learning is an evolution in artificial intelligence research and development.
