LocationMain CampusPosition SummaryThe University of Arizona and the School of Information seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a strong record of research in data science or computational social science to begin in mid August, 2016. Preference will be given to applicants with a research record focused on health information, eHealth, health networks, environmental science, astronomy, or scholarly work on business behavior and eCommerce. It is expected that a successful applicant will have familiarity and experience with the computationally intensive methods that are used in modern data science, including, for example: data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, predictive analytics, machine learning, visualization, and high-performance computing.
