According to the developers of the machine, it aims to take the human element out of big-data analysis, and is able to search patterns as well as design the feature set. After developing the first prototype of their new machine, researchers decided to test its efficiency by enrolling it in three data science competitions. The system competed against 905 human teams. All the teams were assigned the task to find predictive patterns in unfamiliar data sets. Among all the 906 teams, the “Data Science Machine” finished ahead of 615 human teams.…
