Eric Schmidt: A.I. will not become ‘evil’

Alphabet Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt says that artificial intelligence will transform tech within five years, but there’s little chance of it turning on humankind and becoming “evil.” Speaking at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity on the French Riviera, Schmidt said A.I. was not likely to turn on humans and try to destroy humankind, as depicted in some movies.
