Facebook Donates Servers to Accelerate Artificial Intelligence Research

Facebook has announced partnership with European academic institutions to accelerate research in artificial intelligence. Facebook is donating its 25, GPU-based servers for free to AI-focused research institutions. The company believes that AI could reach to its potential quickly if research communities work in collaboration with each other and interact more. In this regard, the Facebook AI Research Partnership Program announced today Klaus-Robert Muller of Technische Universität Berlin as the first recipient of its four GPU servers. Dr.Muller will utilize these servers to foster research process in areas such as image analysis of breast cancer and chemical modeling of molecules.
