FAU hires executive director for new Brain Institute

Florida Atlantic University has hired a renowned neuroscientist to lead the school’s new Brain Institute. Randy Dean Blakely will become executive director of the FAU Brain Institute starting in May. Blakely is currently the Allan D. Bass Professor of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and serves as director of the Vanderbilt/National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Silvio O. Conte Center for Neuroscience Research, the Director of the Vanderbilt/NIMH Postdoctoral Training Program in Functional Neurogenomics, and as Professor of Psychiatry.
