Flipkart-Backed Cube26 Forays Into IoT

Technology firm Cube26 plans to hire about 100 people over the next two quarters as it ramps up its team to focus on the multi-billion dollar global Internet of Things (IoT) market, according to a report by Financial Express. The firm has recently raised Rs 50 crore in seed funding from Tiger Global and Flipkart and works with handset vendors such as Micromax, Intex, Panasonic and Karbonn to customize solutions. The Delhi-based company would use 85 per cent of the funding for technical upgradation and R&D, data science and analytics and the remaining to add headcount, according to a BusinessLine report.
