Google Releases Video About Their Machine Learning Research

(Photo: Pixabay) Natalie Hammel and Lorraine Yurshansky are two Google employees who spend their “20 percent time” (the portion of the workday Google allots for employees to work on their own projects) learning about other Googlers’ work and creating a “Behind the Scenes at Google” video series. In the latest installment, they caught up with Google researchers Greg Corrado and Christopher Olah, who work on machine learning research. In the video, Ms. Hammel and Ms. Turshansky, who go by Nat and Lo in the series, pick their brains about what exactly machine learning (and more specifically, deep learning) is, how it works and where it shows up in our daily lives.
