Microsoft is buying SwiftKey in a bid to beef up its artificial intelligence push, according to a Financial Times report. SwiftKey’s technology sifts through millions of typed-in keyboard combinations and collects that data in hopes of correctly guessing what you’re entering even before you finish typing. The new acquisition, which is reportedly in the range of $250 million is enabling Microsoft to dive deeper into intelligent assistance with Cortana. Microsoft is not the only tech major bullish on the artificial intelligence (AI) space.
