Google’s new Cloud Vision API will help machines to analyse images like never before.Last week Google announced an exciting tool for app developers that can enable apps, robots and drones ‘see’. It’s fascinating! Google is calling it Cloud Vision API.The tech reportedly enables developers to understand the content of an image by encapsulating machine learning models. It can quickly classify images into thousands of categories (like, sailboat, tiger, Eiffel Tower etc), detects individual objects and faces within images, and finds and reads printed words contained within images.The Cloud Vision thus solves a hard computer problem of ‘seeing’.
