Artificial intelligences are among us. Microsoft on Wednesday launched an artificial intelligence by the name of Tay, a robot designed to chat with 18- to 24-year-olds in the U.S., sending her out into the world of to entertain millennials from diverse backgrounds, hoping it would be a positive experience for all for weeks to come. Oh, Microsoft, you sweet summer child. It took all of 24 hours for Twitter to ruin poor Tay, turning the artificial intelligence from a bright, sunny chatterbox to a racist, appalling non-human being, and a Donald Trump supporter.
