Luc Besson’s ‘Artificial Intelligence’ Gets Put Pilot Order From TNT

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at 6:37am PST – by Brett White “Entertainment Weekly” has learned that TNT has ordered “Artificial Intelligence” to pilot. The project comes from “Fifth Element” and “Lucy” director Luc Besson and snagged a put pilot commitment from the network, meaning that TNT will face a stiff penalty if they choose to not air the pilot. The sci-fi series follows an artificial intelligence that breaks out of a laboratory in order to embark on its own personal, mysterious quest. The A.I.’s creator then gathers a team of specialists to handle the situation. Besson is co-writing and executive producing the pilot with screenwriter Bill Wheeler.
