This raise of aging population results in a steadily increase of healthcare costs since recent years and impends to undermine current healthcare systems in the near future. Aging in place (or aging at home) has become an important aspect of redefining health care policy for elderly and meets the need of policy makers that aim to save costs compared to expensive institutional care.
