Fetch, by Microsoft’s Garage division, allows you to upload a photo of a pooch and then delivers a breed name. The app also delivers an expanded breed description (such as disposition, coat and more) for selected breeds. This is all made possible due to artificial intelligence techniques and machine learning, Microsoft said. “There was an interest in creating a framework that would allow you to take a domain – in our case, dogs – and recognise numerous classes, such as breeds.
