Microsoft Corporation Acquires Maluuba

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced on Friday that it had acquired a startup company, Maluuba, with intent to compete head-to-head with Google and Salesforce.                 Maluuba was launched in 2010 by the university grads of University of Waterloo (UoW). It creates programs which a use natural language processing to help computers comprehend a user command and give reasoning capabilities in different areas of research, commonly known as deep learning. It is worth mentioning that deep learning is currently in vogue and many tech companies, such as Apple, Google, Facebook, and Twitter have acquired deep-learning start-ups.
