Minecraft has always been a game of creativity and imagination. But now it will also be a testing ground for advances in artificial intelligence (AI). Computer scientists at Microsoft have designed a new research project that enables them to use the popular game to test their ideas about machine learning and AI — and they want to invite the public to play with their new toy.
