Neuroscience lab technician

We are looking for highly motivated person to work in the laboratory of Dr. Kevin Franks in the Department of Neurobiology at Duke University. The Franks laboratory uses electrophysiological recordings, behavioral analyses and optogenetic tools to study sensory neuroscience with a focus on the rodent olfactory system. This position is ideal for recent graduates wishing to gain practical training in a state-of-the art research environment investigating neural circuits of the brain. The candidate must be flexible and willing to function in a fast-paced and changing work environment. The full-time Research Technician II position will involve managing a small transgenic mouse colony, stereotactic surgery, histology and immunohistochemistry, and some minor lab administrative work.
