OpenAI, a research company funded by $1 billion in donations from tech heavy hitters Elon Musk, Sam Altman and Peter Thiel, launched Friday with the goal of advancing artificial intelligence, or AI. “Think of it as at least a billion”. Both Musk and Altman agreed upon a common objective and goal to develop artificial intelligence in a way to prevent the misuse of AI by empowering as many individuals as possible with AI.
