NVIDIA Reveals Iray VR : Photoreal Virtual Reality Launched, Features

In November, Tractica predicted annual software revenue for enterprise applications of deep learning would increase from $109 million in 2015 to $10.4 billion in 2024. While Iray Light may not have the incredibly realistic capabilities that Iray VR has, users can quickly and relatively easily just click a few buttons and have a ray-traced photosphere that they can walk around in with a VR headset. Examples of this progress in the past year including Microsoft’s work on image recognition with the ImageNet database, Berkeley’s work on robotics, Baidu’s speech recognition services, and most recently Google DeepMind’s AlphaGo.
