Salesforce continues march toward AI excellence with MetaMind deal

Salesforce has acquired deep learning company MetaMind, adding to its ever-growing arsenal of artificial intelligence startups.  According to a blog post from Richard Socher, CTO at MetaMind, the two will work together to offer artificial intelligence products to customers, which should help automate and personalize customer support, marketing automation and other business processes. “We’ll extend Salesforce’s data science capabilities by embedding deep learning within the Salesforce platform,” Socher explained. As far as MetaMind’s current customers are concerned, unpaid web users will find products discontinued on May 4. Monthly recurring users will have products discontinued on June 4.
