Volunteers needed for Teen Court program BRADENTON — Teen Court and Teen Court Too are real courtroom experiences for first-time juvenile offenders. Youths between the ages of 10-17, who admit they are guilty of misdemeanor offenses, and some court-ordered, nonviolent felony cases, are heard by a jury of their peers instead of going before a Juvenile Court judge. Youth volunteers are needed to fill the roles of prosecuting and defense attorneys. No legal background is needed although an interest in the judicial system and the role of attorneys is a plus. Youths interested in becoming Teen Court and Teen Court Too attorneys will receive training from practicing attorneys on courtroom decorum, questioning, objecting and code of conduct. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Volunteer hours will be earned upon completion.…
