Toyota to Invest Million Into Artificial Intelligence

Toyota announced on Friday, Sep. 4, that it is dropping $50 million in the next five years to establish research centers to work on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving technology. The Japanese automaker is teaming up with MIT and Stanford to create the research centers and develop new technologies to reduce highway injuries and fatalities. The research will reportedly focus on teaching computers to see and make critical decisions about how to interact with the world. According to The Verge, Toyota announced at a press conference on Friday that it is forming partnerships with the two Universities, focused on robotics and Artificial Intelligence research, opening joint facilities at both MIT and Stanford.
