Wollongong students learn of life in a refugee camp

Students at Woonona High School in Wollongong have stepped into the shoes of a refugee to learn about their living conditions, access to education and health as part of the second annual Refugee Challenge.Year 10 Woonona High School student Ruby Meiers has just told one of her classmates she cannot settle in Australia.She said that the student’s documentation was not legal and she would be sent back on the first flight to their country.Another student was fleeing their country because her family had been executed and they were the lone survivor.
