Woodlawn grad creates informational nursing app
Shreveport native Christi DeLemos was recently recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for developing a medical-friendly mobile app called Neuroscience Nurse. The app enhances the bedside care of neurological patients and can be used by nurses worldwide.(Photo: Nathan McGuire) Christi DeLemos always knew she wanted to be a nurse. The Shreveport native and Woodlawn High School graduate has spent hours reviewing materials and using reference guides during her nursing career. The reference guides wouldn’t fit in her pockets. She discovered a more effective way to gain knowledge while making rounds in the hospital. DeLemos didn’t want other aspiring nurses to carry such a large load, so she created a neuroscience information mobile app called Neuroscience Nurse.
