The company that was acquired this time is India/US-based Tuplejump. The startup’s old website has already been taken down, but it appears that it specialized in big-data technologies for businesses. Per usual, Apple has issued its standard non-response statement, confirming the acquisition discovered by TechCrunch. “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.” Tuplejump joins Turi and Perceptio on Apple’s roster of recently acquired machine learning companies. Terms of the deal are unknown and its unclear how Apple plans to integrate Tuplejump’s technology into its offerings.…
