Delaware State University researchers receive 5K grant for neuroscience

By Submitted News Posted Nov. 12, 2015 @ 5:11 pm Melissa Harrington and Murali Temburni were awarded a five-year, $535,000 grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to establish an undergraduate research program in neuroscience. The summer program, offered in partnership with the Delaware State University-headquartered Delaware Center for Neuroscience Research, will be focused on recruiting undergraduates from underrepresented groups into groups of neuroscience researchers across Delaware. Twelve undergraduate students from DSU, Delaware Technical Community College and Wesley College will spend 10 weeks each year doing neuroscience research with faculty researchers at DSU, the University of Delaware and the Nemours, Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
