Evernote Backtracks On Its Privacy Changes, Will Make Employee Access To Your Notes Opt-In

Earlier this week, Evernote updated its privacy policy to make machine learning features — which let some employees read your notes — mandatory for all users. Now, the company’s walking that policy back, but there are still some problems. According to a new blog post on the subject, Evernote has revised its upcoming changes. Machine learning will be available for everyone, but employees will only be able to review your notes as part of this process if you explicitly opt-in. The changes were set to go into effect on January 23, but instead Evernote will work on updating its privacy policy “over the coming months”.
