GE Healthcare, UCSF launch ‘deep learning’ project

GE Healthcare (NYSE:GE) and the University of California San Francisco said today they inked partnership, looking to develop a library of deep learning algorithms to aid clinicians in making more effective diagnostics. The first focus for the partnership will be to develop algorithms that speed up differential diagnosis for acute situations, such as trauma, to improve the speed of treatment and reduce complications.
