Google Takes a Step Towards AI, Gives away Software

AI is short for Artificial Intelligence which enables people to use electronic personal assistants like Microsoft’s Cortana or Google Now. Apple’s Siri also works using the same principle. Artificial Intelligence is the technology behind facebook recognizing and auto tagging friends in images. It is also the crux behind new technological developments like self driving cars, etc. Google now wants to set standards for research on development of Artificial Intelligence. Google aims at doing so by releasing a program called TensorFlow as an open – source software, freely available to all for download, development and use.
