GU MTech student bags Intel fellowship

Panaji: Even as Goa University’s masters of technology (MTech) programme has run into trouble, an MTech graduate from its 2015 batch has been awarded the prestigious Intel PhD fellowship. Arghya Pal, an MTech graduate from the department of computer science and technology Goa University, was recently awarded the Intel PhD fellowship which is a best-in-industry fellowship and includes a research travel grant and contingency grant for four years. He is now working with Vineeth N Balasubramanian on deep learning and computer vision. He won the competitive Intel PhD fellowship for his proposal on ‘Predicting Data Itself: Reliable Video Prediction using Deep Learning Architectures’.
