Independent Robots Prevented to Be Part of Warfare

“Starting a military AI [artificial intelligence] arms race is a bad idea, and should be prevented by a ban”. These extracts are taken from an open letter, signed by world’s one of thousands of researchers, experts, and business leaders, including the famous physicist Stephen Hawking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in July 2015. Among the people from the realm of artificial intelligence, where the potential benefits of robots were discussed, the inclusion of autonomous robots in warfare was criticized for their ability to cause great harm to mankind.
