Iran’s Samii inaugurates China International Neuroscience Institute

TEHRAN — Majid Samii, the eminent Iranian neurosurgeon and the president of the International Society for Neurosurgery, inaugurated China International Neuroscience Institute in Beijing on Friday. “To open this institute we started to discuss the matter with the Chinese side in 2002 and after two years we finally reached an agreement and I myself was put in charge to establish this institute,” IRNA quoted Samii as saying in the inaugural ceremony. Moreover, an exhibition showcasing works and services done by professor Samii over the past years was held before the ceremony. China International Neuroscience Institute has some 500 beds and 14 operation rooms and teaches some 100 international students annually.
