Kraken Robotik GmbH to Focus on Underwater Robotics

JOHN’S, NL — Kraken Sonar Inc. has established a German subisidiary that, effective Jan. 1, 2017, will begin operations at the Bremen Innovation and Technology Centre. Creating Kraken Robotik GmbH (KRG) in Germany corresponds to strong growth in the region where Kraken has an increasing base of customers and strategic partners, Kraken Sonar said in a Dec. 7 release. In addition to customer support, KRG will focus on the development of 3D imaging sensors, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for underwater robotic platforms.
