Major changes come to math department

Students can now look forward to new educational opportunities with the addition of two degree programs beginning in the fall semester. The Valparaiso University Mathematics and Statistics Department has decided to add data science and statistics to their list of majors. Currently, students are only able to minor in statistics and get a graduate degree in data science. Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics Karl Schmitt will be the director of the new data science program.
