Neuroscience centre project at PGI in a limbo

A neuroscience centre proposed to be set up at the PGI three decades ago is yet to see the light of day.Sources said the union government was delaying the release of funds for the project. PGI Director YK Chawla had listed the project as his priority soon after assuming charge four years ago in October, 2011.The PGI receives at least 150 new patients at its neurology department every day. Besides, more than 400 old patients visit the OPD daily.
