NVIDIA Has a Plug-in Computer AI Brain

“The architecture of the computer is fundamentally changing, and it’s changing right in front of us”, said Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang. NVIDIA has unveiled a new mini supercomputer in the form of the Jetson TX1 module that measures just 50mm x 87mm in size and has been specifically created to bring artificial intelligence to the next generation of autonomous drones and robots. Nvidia says its new GPUs can provide the level of machine learning necessary for the kinds of features now being used by popular sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Google, including facial analysis and behavioral recognition.
